Shuhei Endo is known for his pioneering, avant-garde use of industrial materials – specifically corrugated steel – to create fluid structural forms. He obtained a Master’s Degree from Kyoto University of Art in 1986, and established Shuhei Endo Architect Institute in 1988. He has served as a professor at the Salzburg International Summer Academy and Kobe University Graduate School (2007–21). In 2003, he received the Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology Award for New Artists, and in 2004, he received the Special Prize at the 9th Venice Biennale International Architecture Exhibition.
遠藤秀平は、工業材料、特に波形鋼板を先駆的に用いて流動的な構造形態を生み出すことで知られています。1986年に京都芸術大学大学院修士課程を修了し、1988年に遠藤秀平建築研究所を設立しました。ザルツブルク国際サマーアカデミー、神戸大学大学院（2007~21年）の教授を務めています。2003年に芸術選奨文部科学大臣新人賞、2004年には、第9回ヴェネツィア・ビエンナーレ国際建築展特別賞を受賞しました。
